FAQs

Can I Modify My Car Without A Tune?

YES! Well, sort of.
It really depends on what car you have, and what modifications you do. With any turbo’d car, we would strongly recommend getting a tune with any modification. With any N/A car, a tune isn’t as important to the engines safety - but a tune will definitely maximise the power increase of your modifications.

Can I Come Into The Workshop And Watch My Car On The Dyno?

Unfortunately no, our current workshop doesn’t have a safe dyno viewing area for customers. We do have a waiting room where you’re welcome to wait for your car to be finished - we can also take footage and photos of your car on the dyno for you.

What Do I Need To do Before Bringing My Car In For a Dyno Tune?

Make sure everything on your car is in good working order - our dyno puts the car under a lot of load, so everything needs to be in good condition and tight.
Also - make sure you’ve got enough of the correct fuel! Any brand 98 octane, and around 1/2 a tank is enough.

How Will My Fuel Economy Be After My Tune?

Your fuel economy is very dependant on how you drive, technically - with the right modifications your car may be even more fuel efficient than when you first bought it to us. (Even with more power!)
But the thing with having more power, is that you’re more likely to give it a boot here and there which will result in using more fuel.
We believe that a “economy” tune is a myth - our tunes should give you better fuel economy if you drive it nicely.

Does It Matter What Brand Of Fuel I Fill Up With After My Tune?

No.
Sometimes only using one brand of fuel is not practical. Our tunes cater to all main brands of fuel - The only place we would suggest avoiding, are little no-name petrol stations, as sometimes the quality of the fuel can be less than required. Unfortunately if your using e85 - United Fuel is you’re only option at this point!

Can I Add Extra Modifications After My Tune?

Yes - sometimes its hard to do all the modifications you want at one time, modifying your car after it has already been tuned is OK - but a re-tune will be needed along with any new modifications. Luckily - because we already have your car on file and we’ve already purchased tuning credits - a re-tune is only a fraction of the cost of a brand new tune.
